Karibik Diving - Malpelo Island

Malpelo is a place you go to feel small, and Karibik Diving really drives that home. The sheer volume of fish here is genuinely astounding. We’re talking about schools of fusiliers so thick they actually make the light flicker above you as they pass. You just float there, watching clouds of Caesar and Mutton Snapper drift by, and it's a humbling experience. What we love most about Karibik Diving isn't just the big stuff, though Malpelo delivers that in spades. It’s the constant, subtle movement of everything around you. You’ll spot Roughhead Triplefins darting in the cracks, Honey Damselfish guarding their patches of rock, and the occasional grumpy Triggerfish looking for a fight. Keep an eye out for the Pacific Spotted Scorpionfish too, they’re masters of camouflage, practically part of the rock. This site is for divers who appreciate being truly immersed in an active ecosystem, not just passively observing it. Expect moderate currents, especially in the afternoon, so good buoyancy control is a definite plus here.
