With 71+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda and pufferfish - London Reef offers some of Malpelo Island's richest reef diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest September, October, November.
London Reef is a solid Malpelo dive, known for consistent big animal encounters. We've often seen hammerheads patrolling the deeper parts, and white tip reef sharks are usually napping in the crevices. Strong currents are common here, so it’s best for experienced divers comfortable with drift dives. Keep an eye out for schooling jacks in the blue, they’re often there.
