With 517+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and hammerhead sharks - Punta del Cabo offers some of Santa Marta & Tayrona's richest diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest June, July, September.
Punta del Cabo generally offers a solid dive for those exploring the Santa Marta coastline. You'll often find schooling fish here, sometimes big jacks, and we’ve even spotted nurse sharks tucked away. The site isn't spectacular but it's reliably decent, good for getting a couple of dives in and generally suitable for most experience levels when conditions are calm.
