With 517+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and hammerhead sharks - Salidero offers some of Santa Marta & Tayrona's richest reef diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest June, July, September.
Salidero offers a straightforward dive in the Santa Marta area. You'll find a series of rocky outcrops and small gorgonian fields, with a good chance of spotting crabs and schooling grunts tucked into crevices. It’s a decent option for newer divers looking for a relaxed experience without strong currents. We often use it as a second dive after something deeper, a chance to slow down and really look around.
