Punta Cormoran

Punta Cormoran, off Floreana Island, often surprises with its quiet charm. We usually drop in here hoping for a batfish sighting, and more often than not, they’ll be waiting on the sandy bottom, watching us with those peculiar eyes. It’s a gentle drift along a volcanic slope, where you’ll commonly spot golden rays gliding by, barracudas schooling in the blue, and sometimes a Galapagos shark will cruise past. We’ve also had some lovely encounters with green turtles here, just casually munching on algae. It’s not the most dramatic Galápagos site, but it’s a reliable spot for some classic local marine life, perfect for a relaxed dive.
