Punta Vincente Roca
Why dive here
With 131+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, humpback whales, seals & sea lions, sea turtles and sperm whales - Punta Vincente Roca offers some of Galápagos Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 23-28°C, warmest February, March, April.
Punta Vicente Roca, off Isabela Island, is often chilly, but that cold upwelling brings in some incredible action. We’re talking mola mola gliding past, red-lipped batfish shuffling on the sandy bottom, and sometimes even penguins zipping by. It’s a drift dive, so suitable for divers comfortable with currents and cooler water.
Safety Notes
Strong currents typical this month (avg 36 cm/s). Good buoyancy control essential.
