With 131+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, humpback whales, seals & sea lions, sea turtles and sperm whales - Tortuga Island offers some of Galápagos Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 23-28°C, warmest February, March, April.
Tortuga Island, off the coast of Isabela, presents a solid drift dive. The currents here can be lively, which is great for attracting pelagics. We’ve seen Galápagos sharks, white-tip reef sharks, and marbled rays gliding past. It's a spot best appreciated by divers comfortable with moderate drifts, looking for larger animal encounters.
