With 337+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue sharks, bull sharks, dolphins and eagle rays - Gran Roque West offers some of Los Roques Archipelago's richest reef diving. Water ranges 26-30°C, warmest September, October, November.
Gran Roque West offers a straightforward dive, accessible directly from the main island. We've often found small schools of jacks patrolling the reef edge, with plenty of parrotfish munching on the corals. It's a relaxed spot, decent for an afternoon splash when you want something easy close to shore, particularly if you’re newer to the area or prefer less challenging conditions.
