Why dive here
With 259+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, dolphins, lemon sharks, orcas and sea turtles - Cayo Pescadores offers some of Morrocoy & Chichiriviche's richest drift diving.
The Garden of Eden, on the leeward side of Taveuni's main reef, offers a relaxed dive where the wall gently drops from just a couple of metres to 18m. It’s covered in soft corals and plenty of sea fans, particularly colourful when there's a good current running through. We’ve found Ghost Cardinalfish tucked into the crevices, and sometimes a Hawksbill Turtle will cruise by. It’s a pretty easygoing drift, making it a solid choice for most divers, and even confident snorkelers will get a good look at the reef top.
Safety Notes
Drift dive - carry a surface marker buoy (SMB) and stay with your group. Brief the current direction before entry.
