Buddha Dive - Lombok & Gili Islands
Buddha Dive offers a pleasant, relaxed dive, a nice change of pace if you've been hitting the current-swept pinnacles. The site gets its name from a Buddha statue, not particularly ancient, but it makes for a unique photo op amongst the established staghorn coral. You’ll find plenty of black sea cucumbers here, trundling across the sandy patches and through the seagrass beds. We think it's a good spot for a second dive of the day, or for newer divers looking to build confidence in calmer conditions. It’s certainly not the most action-packed site in the Gilis, but it’s reliably enjoyable.
