Go Diving - Lombok & Gili Islands
The team at Go Diving are our go-to for diving around Lombok and the Gilis, particularly if you're looking for an alternative to the sometimes overwhelming Gili Trawangan scene. We love their relaxed vibe, which feels a lot more personal than some of the bigger operations. They really shine when it comes to guiding you through sites like Shark Point, where we've had some incredible drifts past sleeping reef sharks and massive schools of trevally. One of our favourite things about diving with Go Diving is their knack for finding the smaller stuff too. Sure, the big pelagics are fun, but they'll also point out pygmy seahorses clinging to gorgonian fans if you ask. We’d suggest chatting with them about a morning trip out to Deep Turbo; the currents can be playful, but the reward is often schools of fusiliers so thick they block the light, and often a cruising manta ray if you’re lucky. They know the currents like the back of their hand, which makes for a much more comfortable, and safer, dive. It’s a great choice for divers who appreciate genuine local knowledge and a bit of peace and quiet after a day underwater.
