Katak Drop - Lombok & Gili Islands

Middle Cay is one of those St. Vincent sites we keep coming back to. Drop in, and you’re immediately enveloped by this dense, vibrant forest of whip corals and gorgonians. It’s a real sensory overload, in the best possible way. We love watching the light play through the fronds, revealing the flash of parrotfish and the quiet movements of little post horn squid. The reef here slopes gently, starting around 15 metres, pushing down to a comfortable 20 metres for us. We've often found ourselves just hanging out in the shallows, watching the jacks and barracuda patrol, occasionally rounding up a shimmering shoal of silver mojarras. You’ll spot plenty of green morays tucked into crevices, and keep an eye out for those spiny and slipper lobsters – they’re everywhere. The healthy corals are a real draw, a genuinely colourful reef that feels alive. It’s an easy, relaxing dive, perfect for photographers or anyone who just wants to soak in the sheer beauty of a Caribbean reef without battling strong currents.
