With 246+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue-spotted stingrays, bull sharks, grey reef sharks, manta rays and mobula rays (devil rays) - Shark Point offers some of Lombok & Gili Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest April, May, November.
Shark Point is a deeper drift dive, best for experienced divers comfortable in current. We usually drop in early to mid-morning for the best chance of spotting reef sharks resting on the sandy bottom, sometimes even a leopard shark if you're lucky. The reef structure here is interesting, with bommies providing shelter for schooling fish. Expect strong currents, but that's what brings the bigger stuff in.
