With 236+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, manta rays, mobula rays (devil rays), pygmy seahorses and sea turtles - Fam Wall offers some of Raja Ampat's richest wall diving. Water ranges 29-30°C, warmest May, November, December.
Fam Wall, near the Fam Islands, is a solid Raja Ampat dive. It’s a good example of the area’s steep drop-offs, well-covered with corals. We’ve found a fair number of pygmy seahorses here, Denise’s in particular, often tucked into the gorgonian fans. Look closely for the smaller stuff, the gobies especially – there’s a surprising variety if you take your time. This site tends to be a relaxed drift, suitable for most divers looking for that classic Raja Ampat wall feel without too much current.
