With 236+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, manta rays, mobula rays (devil rays), pygmy seahorses and sea turtles - Mayhem offers some of Raja Ampat's richest diving. Water ranges 29-30°C, warmest May, November, December.
Mayhem, in Raja Ampat, tends to be a drift. You drop in and let the water carry you over a sloping reef, keeping an eye out for larger pelagics in the blue. We’ve had some cracking encounters here, particularly with reef manta rays gliding by. It’s also a good spot to search for smaller critters, like the Blackbelly Pygmygoby tucked into crevices. While it’s not always a high-octane dive, it’s a solid Raja Ampat experience that suits divers comfortable with currents and covering ground.
