Melissa's Garden - Raja Ampat

Melissa’s Garden, often thought of as one of Raja Ampat’s marquee sites, really lives up to its name. We usually drop onto a wide, shallow reef flat, maybe 5-7 meters deep, which is just packed with plate corals and robust branching varieties. It’s a good spot to slowly drift and just soak in the sheer density of coral, often with a decent current pushing you along. Keep an eye out for tiny gobies darting around, particularly the Stobbs' and Wasp pygmy gobies, and we’ve also had luck finding Denise's pygmy seahorses tucked into gorgonians. It’s not about pelagics here; it's a dive for those who love to slow down and appreciate the small, intricate details of a healthy reef.
