The Passage - Raja Ampat
The Passage, a long channel between Gam and Waigeo, is classic Raja Ampat drift diving. We usually jump in at one end and let the current carry us through, past walls draped in soft corals and gorgonians. Keep an eye out for the unique mix of critters that thrive in the flow, like the yellowskin dwarfgoby or the scribbled angelfish darting between the rocks. It’s a site for divers comfortable with a bit of current, offering a different perspective than Raja Ampat’s typical coral gardens. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a pygmy seahorse tucked into a gorgonian fan.
