West Mensuar - Raja Ampat
West Mensuar in Raja Ampat is one of those sites where we like to take our time, especially along the coral slopes. It doesn't scream at you with massive pelagics, though a reef manta ray does pass by occasionally. What we really come here for are the smaller residents. Keep your eyes peeled for Denise's pygmy seahorses, tucked away on gorgonians. There are also a few blenny species, like the jumping blenny and bicolor blenny, doing their quirky dance. It’s a great spot for macro photographers and divers who enjoy a slower pace, searching for the intricate details.
