Yeben Shallows - Raja Ampat
Yeben Shallows has this subtle charm that catches you off guard. It's not the dramatic drop-offs of other Raja Ampat sites, but rather a slow, deliberate exploration of a rich, vibrant seabed. We've seen a surprising number of gobies here, particularly the tiny ones: Meshed Pygmygobies flitting over the sand, and if you’re patient, you might spot a Denise’s pygmy seahorse clinging to a fan. This site is a photographer's dream for macro subjects and a great spot for newer divers who want to take their time.
