With 153+ marine species recorded in the area - including sea turtles, sperm whales, whale sharks and pufferfish - Tokong Laut offers some of Perhentian Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest May, June, August.
Tokong Laut, often called Temple of the Sea, is one of Perhentian's more exposed sites. We've seen reef sharks patrolling here, along with schools of fusiliers and yellowback snappers swirling around the rocky outcrops. Currents can pick up, so it's generally better suited for divers comfortable with a bit of a push, especially if you want to properly explore the deeper sections. It’s a reliable spot for pelagic sightings when conditions are right.
