Ao Mae Yai, tucked away in the Mergui Archipelago, is one of those spots that really shines for newer divers. The maximum depth of just eight metres means you can take your time, focusing on buoyancy or simply enjoying the shallows. We've seen some lovely little critters here, plenty of colourful nudibranchs, and often a few cuttlefish playing hide-and-seek among the small coral bommies. It’s a gentle, relaxing dive, perfect for getting comfortable in the water before tackling the deeper sites Myanmar has to offer.
