Sea U Diving - Dumaguete
The team at Sea U Diving in Dumaguete feels like coming home, if home had perpetually warm water and world-class macro diving on its doorstep. They’ve really carved out a niche for themselves as the go-to for divers who appreciate meticulous planning, especially when chasing specific critters. We love that they run smaller groups, often just four divers to a guide, which means you actually get to spend time with that pygmy seahorse, not just queue up for a peek. Our favourite thing about Sea U is their genuine passion for critter hunting. These guides have eyes like hawks, routinely spotting things we’d swim right past. They’re PADI 5-star, so the teaching is solid, but it’s their local knowledge that truly shines. If you're a photographer or just someone who gets a thrill from finding the tiny, bizarre inhabitants of the reef, they’re exceptional. We’d suggest booking your dives with them well in advance, especially during peak season, as those small group slots fill up fast. Their boats are comfortable, the equipment is well-maintained, and they always have a thermos of hot coffee ready for post-dive debriefs, which, after a couple of hours hunting nudibranchs, is pure bliss.
