With 496+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, bull sharks and octopuses - Luca Sanctuary offers some of Dumaguete's richest diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest June, July, October.
Luca Sanctuary is one of Dumaguete's many shore dives, accessible directly from the beach. It’s a gentle slope down to about 20 meters, with a mix of sand and scattered coral patches. We often see resident turtles here, plus the usual reef fish. It’s a good spot for a relaxed afternoon dive or checking out macro life in the shallows, suitable for all experience levels.
