Evolution - Malapascua
Evolution isn’t just another dive shop on Malapascua. The team here have carved out a real niche, especially for divers looking to push beyond recreational limits or those who appreciate a centre that’s clearly run by divers, for divers. We love their focus on SDI for certification, it feels less like a factory and more about tailored, quality training. For anyone eyeing up sidemount, or even thinking about going pro, Evolution’s technical and instructor courses are genuinely excellent. Our favourite thing about diving with Evolution is how they manage to combine serious diving with a really laid-back atmosphere. You'll find yourself chatting about decompression theory over a cold beer, then heading out for an early morning thresher shark encounter. They’re super organised, kitting you out with well-maintained rental gear and clear briefings. We’d suggest staying at their resort too; the convenience of rolling out of bed and onto the boat for that pre-dawn Monad Shoal dive is a game-changer. Plus, their restaurant serves up some seriously good post-dive grub.
