Dive Buddies Philippines - Subic Bay

The team at Dive Buddies Philippines are a solid pick if you’re diving Subic Bay. They’re PADI 5-Star, so all the usual courses are on offer, but we really like them for guided dives around the wrecks. They’ve got a real knack for finding the sweet spots on the *USS New York* or the *El Capitan*, even on days when the current is being a bit… enthusiastic. Our favourite thing about Dive Buddies is their divemasters' knowledge of the local history. Diving the *LST* with them, it wasn’t just a wreck dive; it was a tour through a piece of history, complete with stories about the ships and the bay. They’re great at spotting the smaller stuff, too – the morays tucked into the engine room, the occasional turtle gliding over the deck. Visibility in Subic can be a bit hit-and-miss, especially after heavy rain, but their boat captains know the calmer spots. We'd suggest asking for an early morning dive if you want the best chance at clear water and fewer other boats around the popular sites. They’re friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in you having a good day out.
