GOODWILL - Southern Islands

Goodwill is one of our absolute favourites for something a bit different in Singapore, especially when the conditions line up. This isn't your deep, dramatic wreck dive; she's sitting pretty shallow, just 8 metres down, so it’s a brilliant one for extending bottom time. We love poking around the remains of this old motor vessel. She sank back in ‘82 after dragging anchor in a storm, and you can still see the bulk of her hull, often covered in a surprising amount of soft coral growth. It’s less about penetration here and more about observing the structure that’s become an artificial reef. What you'll find here is a really active ecosystem – we often spot schools of snapper hanging around the superstructure, and the occasional batfish cruises by. Look closely and you'll spot nudibranchs, maybe a small moray eel tucked into a crevice. It's a forgiving dive, well-suited for newer wreck divers or anyone who appreciates the quieter side of Singapore diving. Our best advice? Try to hit it on a calm morning, just after high tide, for the clearest water. You’ll be surprised at the life this old girl supports.
