MV Star Centurion - Southern Islands

Okay, let's talk about the MV Star Centurion. For a wreck dive in Singapore’s Southern Islands, this one punches above its weight. It’s a proper motor vessel, sitting upright at 21 metres, and what we love most is how intact it still feels. You can swim along the deck, peer into the holds, and even poke around the superstructure, imagining the ship’s last moments. It’s got a genuine shipwreck feel that’s sometimes hard to find in these shallower waters. The wreck has become a busy apartment block for marine life. We’ve seen giant groupers lurking in the shadows, schools of fusiliers swirling around the mast, and quite a few stingrays buried in the sand nearby. Keep an eye out for nudibranchs, too – the rails and walls are often dotted with them. We’d suggest diving this one on a slack tide, if you can time it right. It makes navigating the wreck so much more enjoyable, letting you really take your time exploring. It’s a great dive for anyone comfortable with wreck penetration, even if just for a quick peek.
