PASIFIC - Southern Islands

The MV *Pasific* isn't a dive you just drop onto; it’s a dive you earn. Lying on its starboard side, this 60-meter cargo ship feels properly sunken, a real piece of history reclaimed by the sea. We love navigating the cavernous holds, especially if you’re comfortable with some overhead environments – just remember to bring a good torch, it gets properly dark in there. The mast lies across the seafloor, pointing the way towards the bow, which is often our favourite part, with barracudas sometimes circling just off the deck. Despite the strong currents that often sweep over the wreck, the *Pasific* hosts a surprising amount of life. We've seen moray eels peeking from every nook, and schools of fusiliers often mill around the superstructure, thick enough to momentarily block out the light. Look closely at the hull; you’ll find nudibranchs clinging to the metal, a colourful contrast to the rust. This is a dive for wreck enthusiasts, for those who appreciate the challenge of a current and the reward of exploring a genuine wreck that feels like a discovery every time.
