PULAU ANDALAS II - Southern Islands

Pulau Andalas II, a motor vessel that found its final resting place in 1972 after an unfortunate grounding near the Karimun Islands, now sits at a comfortable 15 meters. It’s one of our favourite Singapore wrecks, offering a real sense of exploration without the depth anxiety. You’ll spend your time here circling the main hull, poking your head into accessible cargo holds, and admiring the way the superstructure has slowly crumbled, creating new nooks for creatures. We love how much life has colonised this wreck. Expect to see batfish schooling around the mast, their silvery bodies flashing in the ambient light. Nudibranchs are common here, often found grazing on the growth covering the hull. Keep an eye out for small reef sharks patrolling the perimeter; we’ve had some fantastic encounters. The visibility isn't always stellar, typical for Singapore, but that just adds to the atmospheric dive. Our best advice? Go on a slack tide, usually around high or low water, to avoid strong currents that can make navigating the wreck tricky. It’s a site that really rewards a slow, observant diver.
