PULAU GUNNUNG GGA NO 610 - Southern Islands

For a wreck dive in Singapore, Pulau Gunnung GGA No. 610 is genuinely one of our picks. It's a merchant vessel, not a particularly famous one, but what we love is how completely it has been reclaimed by the sea. Dropping down, the first thing you notice is the sheer volume of schooling fish – often barracuda, sometimes even a big grouper lurking in the shadows of the hull. The wreck itself is intact enough to offer some decent penetration for those with the right training and gear, though we generally prefer to explore the exterior. There's a real sense of history here, even if the specifics are a bit murky. We’ve found pygmy seahorses on the gorgonians growing from the mast, and the nooks and crannies are perfect for spotting pipefish or a well-camouflaged stonefish. Currents can pick up, so we’d suggest timing your dive for slack tide to properly soak it all in. It’s a rewarding dive for experienced wreck enthusiasts looking for something a bit different in Singapore’s waters.
