Sisters' Islands - Southern Islands

We'll be straight with you: Singapore diving isn't the Maldives. But Sisters' Islands, for what it is, offers a genuinely surprising escape from the city buzz. Our pick for a leisurely afternoon, it’s a protected marine park and feels it. Dropping in, you're immediately struck by the sheer volume of little things moving about. Visibility hovers around 5-8 meters on a good day, sometimes less, so it’s about getting close. We've spent entire dives just hovering over a patch of branching staghorn, watching tiny gobies dart in and out, or spotting a well-camouflaged stonefish blending perfectly with the rubble. The seagrass beds are a real highlight; that’s where we’ve found seahorses clinging on, and once, a rather grumpy-looking anchor trunkfish. It’s shallow, only reaching 15 meters at its deepest, making it perfect for newer divers or for a relaxed camera dive. Don't expect dramatic drop-offs or roaring currents, just a gentle drift past surprisingly resilient corals and a host of critters.
