TINH TANG TAN - Southern Islands

TINH TANG TAN is a real character of a dive, a fishing vessel that feels like a proper discovery in Singapore's waters. We love this wreck not just for its depth, a solid 45m that sorts out the casual divers from those who know their stuff, but for the way it’s settled. It’s not just a pile of metal; you can still make out the bow, the stern, even the outline of the wheelhouse. Diving TINH TANG TAN, you’re often in a greenish twilight, which only adds to the atmosphere. We’ve found the currents here can be a bit shifty, so good buoyancy and an eye on your dive computer are key. Keep an eye out for batfish, they often hang in the gloom, and sometimes you'll spot a wary barracuda or two cruising by. The real joy is poking around the structure, watching the small critters – nudibranchs, crabs – that have made this old boat their home. It's a dive for those who appreciate the quiet history of the deep, a bit of exploring, and aren't afraid of a deeper profile. It’s certainly one of our favourite deeper wreck dives in the Southern Islands.
