Buoyancy World - Koh Tao

Okay, let's talk about Buoyancy World. If you’re getting qualified in Koh Tao, you’ll know this place well. It's essentially a playground for skill practice, but we love it because it’s not just a bare sandy patch. You've got these concrete structures, cubes and pyramids mostly, laid out at manageable depths, perfect for honing those fin pivots and hovering drills without kicking up the bottom. What makes it special? The fish actually like it here. We’ve seen juvenile batfish hanging around the edges of the structures, and the resident groupers aren’t shy. Look closely into the crevices and you’ll often spot a Blue-spotted Stingray tucked away or a feisty Blenny popping its head out. It's a great spot to really focus on your technique, feeling the water around you, without the pressure of a deep reef. We’d suggest going early in the morning before the dive school rush. That way, it feels a bit more like your own private underwater gym. It’s perfect for new divers, obviously, but also for anyone wanting to fine-tune their trim and control.
