Diving and Snorkeling spot - Koh Tao

This particular spot on Koh Tao, often overshadowed by the bigger names, holds a quiet charm we really appreciate. It’s not about grand pelagics or dramatic drop-offs here. Instead, we love the feeling of drifting over the sandy patches between coral bommies, spotting the smaller, often overlooked residents. Look for the Goldspeckled Shrimpgoby tending its burrow – a truly mesmerizing sight if you take the time to watch. We've spent many a lazy afternoon here, and it's perfect for a relaxed second dive or for divers getting comfortable with their buoyancy. The Banded thicklips are always milling about, and you'll usually find a shy Blue-lined Rock Cod tucked away under a ledge. We’d suggest going in the morning; the light catches the corals beautifully then, bringing out the subtle pinks and greens. The visibility can vary, but even on an average day, the sheer density of dusky farmerfish creates a buzzing backdrop to your dive. It's a gentle, unassuming site, a nice change of pace from some of the busier spots.
