Koh Tao has become a bit of a mecca for freedivers, and it’s not hard to see why. The conditions are often calm, particularly in the mornings, making it a comfortable spot for practice. You’ll find a good mix of sandy patches and small coral formations here, with the occasional Blue-lined Rock Cod or Wrasse poking around. It’s a great place to work on your depth and technique, and we’ve seen plenty of new divers make real progress here. For anyone looking to get into freediving, or just keen for a relaxed session, this is a solid choice.
