Haad Yao Divers - Koh Tao

Haad Yao, on Koh Tao's south end, is a solid choice for a laid-back dive. It's usually pretty sheltered, so even if the wind's up elsewhere, you can often find calmer conditions here. The reef is a mix of scattered corals and sand patches, with plenty of staghorn corals providing cover for schools of scissortail sergeants and busy wrasses. We often spot goldmann's sandgobies peeking out from their sandy burrows, and the occasional blue-lined rock cod tucked under an overhang. It’s a comfortable site, good for knocking off some rust or just enjoying a relaxed afternoon dive, especially if you're keen on macro life.
