With 154+ marine species recorded in the area - including hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, tiger sharks and napoleon wrasse - Korea Reef offers some of Great Barrier Reef's richest reef diving. Water ranges 24-30°C, warmest January, February, March.
Korea Reef offers a good cross-section of Great Barrier Reef diving, with plenty of hard and soft corals to explore. Expect to drift along wall sections, keeping an eye out for reef sharks patrolling the drop-offs. It's a solid choice for intermediate divers comfortable with moderate currents and seeking classic GBR coral formations.
