With 154+ marine species recorded in the area - including hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, tiger sharks and napoleon wrasse - Moore Reef - West Timor offers some of Great Barrier Reef's richest reef diving. Water ranges 24-30°C, warmest January, February, March.
West Timor at Moore Reef gives you a drift over hard coral formations. You'll move along a shallow wall, spotting various reef fish and small invertebrates tucked into the crevices. It’s a gentle dive, good for newer divers or those who prefer a relaxed drift without much effort. We find it’s best explored slowly, keeping an eye out for the smaller creatures.
