With 367+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and nurse sharks - Grand Bahama offers some of Abaco's richest diving. Water ranges 24-30°C, warmest July, August, September.
Heading to Grand Bahama, you're really aiming for the shark action, especially around Tiger Beach. This isn't a deep dive, usually staying around the 10-12 meter mark, which makes for some incredible lighting and photographic opportunities. We’ve seen tiger sharks come in close, a truly heart-thumping experience, often joined by lemon sharks and nurse sharks. Visibility is usually excellent, giving you a clear view of these big predators. It’s perfect for divers who are keen on specific shark encounters and want to spend time observing them in relatively shallow, bright conditions.
