Hogfish Reef - Abaco
Hogfish Reef in Abaco is a good spot to slow down a little. It’s a shallow reef, maxing out around 15 metres, which means plenty of bottom time to really poke around. We like to drift along, keeping an eye out for those resident hogfish and wrasse foraging in the sand flats on the fringes. The reef itself is a pretty mix of hard and soft corals, and you'll usually find schools of grunts and snapper hanging around, along with the chromis and angelfish darting between the coral heads. It’s not about big pelagics here; it's more about settling in and appreciating the smaller, quieter moments.
