English Garden - Klein Bonaire

English Garden, for us, is one of those places you drift past and just feel... lighter. It’s on Klein Bonaire, a quick boat ride, and the minute you roll in, you understand the name. Not a formal English garden, no, but the way the corals are arranged, the way the sand patches weave through the reef, it’s all very deliberate and beautiful. We love the shallows here, maybe 5-8 meters deep. The light filters through the water and hits the sand patches, making them glow. Keep an eye out for those tiny critters – Puffcheek Blennies peek out of crevices, and we’ve spotted more Nine-lined Gobies here than almost anywhere else. It’s a macro dream. Down a bit deeper, the reef wall starts, and that’s where you might catch a Green Turtle cruising past, munching on the turtlegrass beds that separate the coral formations. This site is a perfect second dive or a relaxed long drift. The currents are usually gentle enough to just float along and let the reef unfold. Don't rush it; find a patch of fire coral and look closely, or watch a Spotted Soapfish doing its thing. If you appreciate the smaller, quieter moments in diving, this one’s for you.
