Jeannie's Glory - Klein Bonaire

Jeannie's Glory, over on Klein Bonaire, is one of those sites we always try to hit, especially if we're doing a two-tanker out there. It’s got a real classic Bonaire slope, starting shallow and just easing down to about 20 metres or so, with plenty to keep your eyes busy at every depth. We love how the light plays on the coral heads early in the morning – you get these shafts of sun cutting through the water, illuminating the golden fern hydroids and the big grooved brain corals. Keep an eye out for the small stuff here. We've spent ages watching Spinyhead Blennies perched on coral, and there are plenty of shark nose gobies too, darting around. The schools of round scad can be surprisingly dense, and you’ll often find Schoolmasters hanging out in the bluer water, just off the main reef. This site is a great choice for a relaxed drift, perfect for photographers who like to take their time and really soak it all in. We'd suggest getting there before the afternoon boat traffic kicks in for the best light and fewest fellow divers.
