Lighthouse Point - Klein Bonaire

Lighthouse Point is one of our favourite spots on Klein Bonaire. We often find ourselves drifting along its gentle slope, letting the current do the work. The reef here, particularly the large, impressive colonies of great star coral and massive starlet coral, feels ancient and wise. It’s the kind of place you spot something new every time you dive it. Look closely, and you’ll find rusty gobies peering from crevices and red clingfish holding fast to the finger corals. We particularly love searching for the delicate golden fern hydroids shimmering in the light. Keep an eye out for the unusual orangespotted filefish, they’re a treat to see. The sheer volume of fish is impressive, with big schools of bluestriped grunts often hanging out, unbothered by divers. This site is perfect for those who appreciate a relaxed drift, with plenty of intricate details to explore. Dive it in the morning for the best light on the coral structures.
