Something Special - Klein Bonaire
Something Special, just off Klein Bonaire, is one of those sites we always try to hit when we're in the area. It’s a drift, but a gentle one, usually pushing you north. We love dropping in over the manatee grass, then letting the current carry us along the wall. The reef here just seems healthier, somehow. Maybe it’s the way the light filters through the water, illuminating the big mustard hill corals and the elaborate maze corals. Keep an eye out for the big blue parrotfish, they're everywhere here, flashing their scales as they munch on the reef. We've had a few incredible encounters with hawksbill and green turtles, just cruising past, completely unbothered. The sheer number of blueman and coney hanging out in the crevices is also impressive, often stacked on top of each other. If you get lucky, you might even spot a jack or two shadowing the smaller fish. It’s a straightforward dive, very relaxing, perfect for when you just want to let the ocean do the work.
