Te Amo Beach - Klein Bonaire

Te Amo Beach. It sounds romantic, doesn't it? And honestly, it delivers. We’ve done more shore dives in Bonaire than we can count, and Te Amo, just across from the airport runway, is always a highlight. This isn’t a wall dive, it’s a gently sloping reef, shallow enough to properly soak in the details. What we love here is the sheer density of the small stuff. You’ll be finning along, maybe 10 or 12 meters down, and suddenly a Chain Moray will peek out from a sponge, or you’ll spot an Orangespotted Filefish flitting between the corals. We often find ourselves just hovering over a patch of Great Star Coral, watching the tiny Yellowline Gobies dart in and out, or spying a Rusty Goby perched on a rock. The light here, filtering down into the shallows, really makes the colours pop. It’s perfect for a relaxed dive, maybe a long second dive, when you want to slow down and really observe. If you're into macro life and appreciate a genuinely easy entry, Te Amo is our pick. You get to ease in from the sand, no tricky rocks, and then just drift along, letting the gentle current guide you over the reef.
