Tori's Reef - Klein Bonaire

Tori's Reef might not always grab the headlines on Klein Bonaire, but we think it’s a quiet champion. It's the kind of place where you drop in and immediately feel the pace slow down. The current here is usually gentle, drifting you along the slope past thickets of maze coral and huge boulder brain coral. We’ve had some cracking encounters with green and hawksbill turtles here, just gliding along, unbothered by our presence. What really sets Tori's apart for us, though, is the sheer concentration of smaller, more unusual stuff. Keep your eyes peeled amongst the coral heads for spotted soapfish, their bodies mottled and distinct, or the tiny puffcheek blenny peeking out from its hole. We've even spotted the elusive night dove snail slowly making its way across the seabed. For gobies, it's a hot spot – yellowline, glass, rusty, and island gobies are all regulars. Our tip? Go slow. Really slow. Let the current do the work and just observe. It’s perfect for macro enthusiasts and photographers, or anyone who just wants a calm, rewarding dive.
