White Hole - Klein Bonaire

White Hole isn't just another dive on Klein Bonaire, it’s a proper geological oddity. We love drifting along the main reef here, but the real showstopper is the "hole" itself. It’s a sand chute, nearly vertical, that plummets from the shallows down to the main reef. As you hover at the lip, the sand, scoured white, spills over the edge like a slow-motion waterfall. It's an unusual sight, and the sensation of looking down into that pale void is genuinely captivating. The edges of the chute are a fantastic place to spot some smaller, shyer residents – we've often seen puffcheek blennies bobbing their heads and little banded basslets darting in and out of the crevices. Keep an eye out for the yellowline arrow crabs too, they’re masters of camouflage here. Further out on the main reef, the mustard hill coral formations are impressive, and you’ll typically find schools of French grunts and parrotfish grazing. The visibility is usually superb, letting you appreciate the scale of the chute. It's a great spot for photographers looking for something a bit different, and for any diver who appreciates unique underwater topography.
