Blue Pinnacles - Grand Cayman

Blue Pinnacles is a Grand Cayman staple for good reason. We’ve always appreciated a solid pinnacle dive, and this one delivers with a towering structure that starts shallow and drops to 21m. It’s the kind of place where you want to slowly spiral down, letting your eyes adjust to the nooks and crannies. The real stars here are the smaller creatures. We love hunting for the Papillate Clingfish, tiny and often overlooked, tucked into crevices. Keep an eye out for the Christmas Tree Hydroid Nudibranchs, too. They’re miniature, but their intricate forms are a delight to find. You’ll also spot plenty of Coneys and Butter Hamlets patrolling the coral, and a quick glance into the gorgonians might reveal a shy Greenband Goby. The visibility usually holds around 29m, so you get a clear view of the entire formation, even from a distance. It’s a site that rewards patience and a keen eye, perfect for photographers or anyone who enjoys a slower, more deliberate dive.
