La Cadena Misteriosa is one of the more talked-about sites in María la Gorda. We find it’s best for divers who enjoy exploring unique topography rather than big pelagics. The "mysterious chain" refers to a series of impressive rock formations, creating swim-throughs and small caverns draped in gorgonians and sponges. Look closely for the smaller critters tucked into crevices – we’ve often spotted lobsters and moray eels here.
