Flamingo Bay - Southwest Coast

Flamingo Bay is where we love to kick off a Grenadian dive trip. It’s got that easy, relaxed vibe, perfect for getting back into the swing of things, or for divers still building confidence. The bay itself is pretty sheltered, so we rarely encounter much current here, which is always a bonus. What really stands out at Flamingo Bay is the sheer density of hard corals. We're talking big, healthy brain corals and intricate star corals that form a robust backdrop. We’ve spent whole dives just combing through the coral heads, finding all sorts of tiny treasures. Keep an eye out for mimic blennies, they’re masters of disguise, and those adorable sharpnose pufferfish always make us smile. We've even spotted harlequin bass darting between the branches. For macro enthusiasts, this place is a delight. Take your time, really look closely, and you’ll find rusty gobies and lightning pitars tucked away. It's an excellent site for photographers wanting to practice their close-up shots without fighting a surge. For a chilled-out dive that delivers plenty of small wonders, Flamingo Bay is our pick every time.
